Partners of the Americas (Partners) is an international nonprofit organization with over 60 years of experience advancing inclusive economic development, agriculture, education, workforce development, and institutional strengthening across Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and beyond. Partners works with governments, private sector actors, and local institutions to design and implement high-impact development initiatives.
Partners seeks to support proposal development for major bilateral and multilateral funding opportunities. This is a fully remote consultancy.
Position Summary
POA seeks experienced consultants to provide short-term proposal development support for funding opportunities with donors such as:
- U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)
- Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)
- U.S. Department of Labor – ILAB
- Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)
- World Bank
Assignments are remote and aligned with specific proposal deadlines.
Areas of Expertise Sought
We are particularly interested in consultants with experience in one or more of the following:
- Agricultural value chains and market systems development
- Trade facilitation and private sector engagement
- Workforce development and education systems
- Nutrition
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
- Budget development and U.S. federal compliance
- Experience supporting proposals for U.S. Government and multilateral donors is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Review different color drafts
- Contribute to technical narrative development
- Draft M&E sections and results frameworks
- Conduct rapid desk research and sector analysis
- Develop or review budgets and budget narratives
- Ensure proposal responsiveness and compliance
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in agriculture, economics, international development, public policy, education, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience contributing to successful proposals for USDA, MCC, World Bank, IDB, ILAB, or similar donors
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
Engagement Terms
Consultants will be contracted on a short-term, deliverable-based basis. Rates will be negotiated based on experience and scope of work.
