For years, you’ve told us you want better communication about what’s happening across our Partners network. We’ve been testing WhatsApp groups with about 40 volunteers in the education and environment sectors. We discovered everyone wanted the same updates, so we merged into one “Partners Noticias” group where Maia Moore, head of membership, shares funding opportunities, and members showcase their work.
The pilot proved what we suspected – WhatsApp is one of the main platforms where members naturally connect, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean. While Partners has long encouraged participation in Communities of Interest on PartnersConnect, this WhatsApp channel meets members where many of them already are. Now we’re ready to expand network-wide for members and staff.
