Xiomara Agudelo Agudelo is the Complementary Crops Specialist for the Cacao for Development Project (C4D). Her role includes training, monitoring, and executing various activities related to the establishment of complementary crops, as well as setting up biofactories as a fundamental and cross-cutting tool in cacao and complementary production systems, making them more profitable, productive, and contributing to environmental sustainability and conservation. With over 13 years of professional experience, she has worked on research projects involving the evaluation of agricultural products, the behavior of plantain crops in coffee-growing regions, baseline studies on carbon footprint in fruit trees, and the evaluation of the behavior of bovine forage species in relation to climate change, among others. Xiomara has also served as a technical assistant for various companies in plantain, cacao, citrus, coffee, and avocado crops. She holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering and a Master’s degree in Agricultural Production Systems from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Caldas.
