Alejandro Torres

Alejandro Torres Perico is the Deputy Director of the Juntos Aprendemos Project. He has over 19 years of professional experience leading public policy projects, project management, and monitoring and evaluation systems. Before joining Partners of the Americas, Alejandro served as Head of Planning at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism (MCIT) of the Government of Colombia (GoC) and as Coordinator of the Evaluation Team at the National Planning Department (DNP) of the GoC. He contributed to strengthening the M&E system of the Colombian Government and leveraging technical assistance from international organizations such as the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), UN Women, and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA). Alejandro holds a Master’s in Urban Management and Development from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a degree in Economics from Universidad Externado de Colombia.
