International Youth Day
Partners believes that investing in youth is critical to the social, economic, and political development of the region. In celebration of International Youth Day (August 12th), Partners invites you to learn more about our youth programming and the work of youth volunteers! Our youth programs work to provide opportunities to youth, foster leadership, and build multicultural understanding. Get involved! Partners Leads Election Monitoring for Bolivia's National Recall Referendum
On August 10th, through the Partners of the Americas’ project Bolivia Transparente, over 3,000 citizen volunteers observed a sample of 1,770 precincts in nine departments, both rural and urban, to show the quality of the election process across the country during the National Recall Referendum.  Click here to read more

Feeding Families in Haiti
The Feeding Families Project is a sustainable farm project to help 500 families address hunger through vegetable gardens, fruit tree plantings, and the breeding of goats, rabbits and chickens. Partners has teamed up with Global Giving to raise funds, which will provide seeds, animals, and supplies, as well as technical training.  Donate today!

Youth Ambassadors Meet with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, make lasting impression
A total of 30 Youth Ambassadors from Nicaragua, Bolivia, and Venezuela met with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during their visit to the nation's capitol.  In a speech made on May 7th, Rice expressed the relevance and importance of the program in preparing leaders of tomorrow and strengthening the bonds between people throughout the hemisphere. Click to read more.

Partners Education and Culture Program 2008
Wonderful News! The Program has funds available for travel exchange grants and small project assistance grants. Applications are accepted during the year from eligible Partners chapters, those having paid their 2008 dues and completed the rechartering process.  These grants have proven to be an excellent way of strengthening understanding, relations and communications between chapters in a Partnership.  Click here for more information, guidelines and application forms.
