“Greenheart Travel has worked most recently with Partners of the Americas recruiting and preparing English teachers for their Teach English Colombia (TEC) program. The goal of the program was to improve the English skills of students in the Colombian vocational university system known as SENA. Through English instruction, we proudly worked together to position these young Colombians to a higher quality of life. “We look on all of our achievements with Partners of the Americas with great satisfaction! In our first year as an institutional member, the Universidad de la Salle was a beneficiary of 100,000 Strong in the Americas. Partners of the Americas together with 100,000 Strong in the Americas provided us with opportunities to establish alliances with various US institutions, including New Mexico State University and the University of North Alabama, resulting in new exchanges of students and professors. Additionally, we received two distinguished presenters through Partners’ programs-one through the ECPA Fellows program who was an expert in climate change and the use of renewable energy from the University of California, Berkeley and the other an agricultural expert through the Farmer-to-Farmer program from the University of Florida. It is in our best interest to maintain this partnership and continue exploring other Partners programs-for example on the theme of bilingualism, so that our students and professors continue to be the beneficiaries of the internationalization of our University with Partners.”
