The PartnersIDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) initiative is a part of Partners of the Americas' Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) commitment to aim for increased understanding and cooperation between people of different backgrounds, experiences, origins, and identities.

PartnersIDEA will be an avenue to share experiences and knowledge, as well as to build intercultural skills and increase understanding of the vast array of diversity found within the Americas and throughout the world through webinars, panel discussions, interviews, blogs, articles, and more.

To quickly identify an event or resource that is part of PartnersIDEA, simply look for the PartnersIDEA logo that will be clearly visible on program materials.

PartnersIDEA Focus Areas
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are broad terms that may include a variety of interpretations. Taking this into consideration for PartnersIDEA, Partners has identified five distinct areas into which PartnersIDEA events, activities, and other resources align: Liberation; Development; Environment/Climate; Heritage; and general Diversity & Inclusion.

Liberation recognizes the equal rights and status of individuals, groups, and communities.

Development highlights the processes of growth, progress, and positive change, or the addition of physical, economic, environmental, social, or demographic components of a larger whole for the greater good.

Environment & Climate centralizes on raising awareness of environmental and climate-related issues.

Heritage observes and celebrates ancestral identity, which includes acknowledging values, traditions, and customs that have been passed down from previous generations, as well as current and future practices.

General Diversity & Inclusion spotlights activities and events that recognize and raise awareness of a variety of identities and topics that make the world multidimensional, such as race, gender, nationality, sexual orientation and gender identity, language, disabilities, neurodiversity, and accessibility, among others.
