Nicaragua

Partners has been working in Nicaragua since 1965, when the Nicaragua-Wisconsin Partners was founded. Recognized for our 100+ “learning centers” across the country, the centers have been essential to increasing income and enhancing entrepreneurial skills for women in Nicaragua.  To encourage education and reading opportunities for children and adults, many of the centers also have lending libraries. The Nicaragua-Wisconsin Partners also works with lay community health workers to provide maternal child care in remote areas of the country. Our past work in Nicaragua includes multiple types of exchanges between youth, civil society professionals and sports professionals.
