Partners has been working in Haiti since 1978, when the Haiti-New Jersey Partners was founded. Since then, we’ve emerged as a leader in agriculture and food security reforms in the country. Since 1996, our Farmer-to-Farmer program has sent U.S. technical experts to Haiti to help farmers, cooperatives and agribusiness increase food production and income. Launched in 2013, our Nutrition Security program improves maternal and child health in Haiti and will reach 21,000 women by 2016.
In recent years, Partners has also implemented democracy and governance and sport-for-development programs in Haiti.
