HEP 2017

Welcome to the first annual
higher education partnership conference

More than ever before, today’s employers are seeking individuals who have undergone the transformative experience of living abroad, learning a second language and building relationships across borders and across cultures. Students have taken note and are enrolling in schools that provide such opportunities.

Higher education institutions everywhere are called on to meet this demand for international education, heightening the need to continuously increase investment in internationalization efforts and expand partnerships with peer institutions in the region. That is why we are thrilled to launch the annual series of Higher Education Partnership events and have chosen Workforce Development as the theme of the 2017 inaugural event.

We are pleased to invite you to HEP 2017, where together we will plant the seeds of tomorrow’s best international education partnerships.

HEP 2017

In October 2017, international educators, administrators and stakeholders from across the Americas will be in San Miguel de Allende to meet with decision makers from peer institutions and build strong, new partnerships for internationalization.

This year’s theme, Workforce Development, looks at the increasing need for students in STEM and other fields to obtain international experience and cross cultural competencies in order to be successful in today’s economy. The conference will also focus on providing a participative, interactive experience in which institutions get to share from their own experience and learn directly from their peers from other countries.
